As per one of the survey:
India accounts for about 10% of road crash fatalities worldwide. In terms of absolute numbers more people die in road crashes in India than anywhere else in the world. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the death rate per 100,000 populations for road traffic accident has increased from 16.8 in 2009 to 18.9 in 2013.
This estimate is much higher than the rate in high income countries (8.7 per 100,000) and middle-income neighboring countries like. Indonesia (17.7), Pakistan (17.4), Nepal (16), Myanmar (15), Sri Lanka (13.7), Bhutan (13.2), Mauritius (12.2) and Bangladesh (11.6).

As per the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), in the year 2011 there were 440,123 road accidents resulting in the death of 136,834 people. The incidence of accidental deaths increased by 44.2% in 2011 from 2001. This figure translates into one death every five minutes on Indian roads and is expected to escalate to one death every three minutes by 2020

About 16 people die and 58 are injured every hour in India due to road accidents—the death rate, in fact, is equivalent to wiping out about 40 per cent of the population of a small nation like Maldives in a year. Delhi has the highest number of fatal accidents among all cities, with five deaths per day.

"Roads" are used by each and every individual of our society in one and another way, we often use them for : walking, driving, running, catching bus or any other mode of commutation; sometime we Indians use them for organizing ceremonies (like marriage, shop or house inauguration celebration even sometimes for organizing Jaagran). We all use roads in one or other way, but we all are always seems to be worried about our own place on these busy roads. Of course we use roads but road users are always vulnerable and protecting each other is our responsibility.
While traveling on road all of us might have noticed that ROADS are the biggest ANGRY PLACE where different road users from different religion, culture, places, social status competes with each other for more and more space. While competing with each other we all forget the CONSEQUENCES which our competition and no consideration for others could lead to. Every day we listen in news or read in newspaper about the horrifying accidents which are happening on roads just because of our nature of COMPETITION ON ROADS.

Wouldn’t it be better if, instead of being stressful and risky, streets were places where everyone looked out/care for and protected each other.

"Happy You" following its principle of Health, Happiness & Harmony understands that to bring Harmony in the world we ourselves have to change first, we have to show way to our next generations, hence we have to BE THE CHANGE & CARE FOR EACH OTHER.

"Happy You" is asking everyone using roads to CARE FOR EACH OTHER on roads because being selfish can lead to major tragedy in our or someone's life.

"Happy You" is making special request to all :
  • Vehicle users/drivers - protect people walking on roads.
  • Look twice and take it slow on junctions and bends.
  • STOP driving on wrong side.
  • STOP jumping the traffic signals.
  • WEAR SEAT BELT while driving four wheeler.
  • WEAR HELMET while driving two wheeler.
  • People walking on road should also follow traffic signals while crossing the roads.
  • Do NOT drive any vehicle if you are under 18 years of age.
  • STOP Road Rage.
